There is no global climate crisis. This is nonsense. The northeast United States just experienced the 4th coldest summer on record. That's not opinion, it's fact. The past 7 fall seasons in the northern half of the United States (including hundreds of miles south of the last glacier line from the past great ice age) have seen consistently earlier season killing frost dates. In 2006 we experienced our earliest substantial snow fall in 225 years of record keeping. Do some reasearch on the sun spot cycles and their impact on our climate. We happen to b in an extreme solar minimus. The 1990s saw one of the most intenst solar maximus cycles on record. Not coincidentally, those were the same years the average temperatures were increasing.

I am not suggesting we shouldn't cut back on greenhouse emmissions. But we also have to accept the fact that climate change is normal and part of the natural cycle as well. People have been whipped up into a panic about an issue that is far more complex than either the news media or the scientists who depend on funding from governments around the globe are telling us. There are great books available online or in any major book store on this subject.

As far as clean fresh water goes, it should rank far FAR higher on the agenda than climate change. The UN should be ashamed.

This is morally unacceptable and shameful. The full impact the impending climate disaster on the most vulnerable people must be recognized for what it is and everything possible must be done to mitigate the effects of the expected intense global warming, which will cause the dessication of much our world.

We are speeding past the warning signs along the road toward a cliff, with our radio blasting the garbled nonsense of well-heeled climate deniers. See our post "Australian Professor Writes of the Likelihood of Runaway Climate Change" at http://westcoastclimateequity.org/?p=3852. Clive Hamilton's well-referenced and clearly understandable lecture spells out everything you need to know about the awful predicament we're in.
