On a visual level the film is great, I just wish there was something else to get excited about. So basically, its 100% a cliche, but at least we get to see the odd pairing of Depp and Jolie. Still, this is definitely a movie worth watching if one has a quitefree afternoon and wants to enjoy a thriller without the complicationsof having to figure out an intensely 'cerebral' plot. Comparing the two movies, The Tourist falls short in many ways. Angelina Jolie is a nice woman but not an actress. A ne surtout pas voir. Not just in subject matter but in quality. The actors are amazing, specially johnny depp. This movie should be avoided. If you want to have a fun time go see it I definitely recommend it. She's so frigid that she appears more like an uncannily elegant space alien. It's old school cinema without the painted backgrounds. It was great a story. Whoever did her makeup for this movie should be shot, set on fire and then thrown to the sharks. Smooth direction, witty dialogue and decent supporting characters - Paul Bettany and Stephen Berkoff are reduced to one-dimensional stereotypes - are all non-existent. So whether you like Depp, Jolie, Sewell, Bettany, or all four, you will probably like this film. And that suggests a twist at the end (too easy to spot if you think romantic comedy). Essentially, Shaw sounds like Keyser Söze, the Turkish criminal mastermind from Christopher Macquarie's "The Usual Suspects" script. It further doesn't help that she's given bad lines to deliver. So much humor coming along and the romantic story of Elise(Jolie) and Frank(Depp). Keep in mind that this is a COMEDYand NOT an ACTION film. The once James Bond Timothy Dalton plays his superior, fixed on making sure Bettany plays by the rules and doesn't over-step his boundaries or his budget. The movie wants us to question a lot of things, including who its people are and their true motives, but I doubt it wanted us to question why we're watching the movie, which is what we find ourselves doing about a third of the way in. The entire beginningwas pretty boring and many of the scenes were useless to the plot ofthe story. She was just the sex pot in this movie. But, a little while into the film, I realized that no matter how over-groomed the beard, or how Jesus-like the hair, he simply can't be ruined. Where was The Tourist film. Major disconnect between the stars. The villain is a dread villain indeed. Let these actors make their own image and legacy. I saw this over the X-mas break and had higher expectations for it. I don't know why almost everyone considers Angelina so much of Hollywood superstar unless you are the brand ambassador for slimming tablets,laxatives,and cosmetics for transvestites. I could not get past the unbelievable story line, Jolie's bad accent, the fact that all we are to do with her character is "stop, stare, covet, love, weep. It does not help to have very bad dialogs either. I was delighted with the (unexpected) humour and thought the pacing and acting was right on target. As dori sa-l vad, imi plac protagonistii. Very predictable throughout and anti climatic ending. They are convinced that eventually he will return to his beautiful flame. What the writer/directermeans at last the" he made a plastic surgery" its very stupid So whathe wants to fool us at the end and says: i made a plastic surgery andother stupid stuff like changing his voice, maybe he couldn't finish iton the right way. Gradually that changes, until we're surprised by the finalplot twist.

As a result, you sit kind of empty-headed as to where theplot should go in order to get you from point A to point B. Well done Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck. No REAL acting required. I wouldn't call this a thriller as there is no CGI, and no mind-boggeling chase scenes. Ilove the movie am fannatic of angelina jolie. The only character worth mentioning in the movie was Reginald Shaw (played by Steven Berkoff); the character was alive, not just a puppet with it's strings cut. I see nothing appealing in a woman that looks like will collapse every minute out of hunger, or at least out of a severe weakness. This movie could have been a good thriller. Jolie looks older than her age and is totally inept at transmitting the emotions that go with her role. They couldn't have asked for that much. Full film download. And even though Ihave never been a big fan of Hitchcock's, I think that download movie The Touristfalls very short with that ambition, because to start with, I did notfeel suspense or interest in the two main characters, at the same timethat I found the romance between them to be absolutely artificial. I was hoping before the movie started that the directorwould shoot new shots of Venice that haven't typically been seenbefore. Sadly the rest is a disappointment. Maybe 3 good lines if that. She probably should haveconcentrated on acting the way she is capable of. Onthe other side, for me Jolie more looks like 'a supermodel walking inher runaway catwalk'. Instead, she randomly selects a man on board, that being American teacher and tourist Frank Tupelo (Golden Globe nominated Johnny Depp) who she quickly forms conversation with, and makes him think she is interested in him. It was an okay movie. Entertaining, with some very silly scenes. The whole movie is based upon the idea that Johnny Depp is NOT the guy, but WAIT. Lots of star power in exchange for a very generic and mostly unengaging plot lacking action. Not *as* bad as everybody has been saying but I figured out the end before the adverts even started. There was simply no chemistry between those 2 and they made Johnny Depp who is an absolute hunk look old and ugly. Of course, THEN, you will admit to have seen two glaring faults (clues) and realize that this story could never work because of them. Good movie, angelina added spice. Two huge movie stars, an Oscar-winning director, sumptuous international scenery. I would rather give it a Razzie. When Johnny Depp is supposed to be dragged in the river, you can tell he's standing still while water's blowing in him. They strike up a bond and Frank thinks its his lucky day when he runs into her later. Her costumes are wonderful, very Chic and elegant. It was alright, but I picked the twist 20mins into the movie and it was a bit too slow for my liking. In fact, he does that a lot. It is not an author's film , as they say in Paris. As we follow Anjelina Jolie about as he sets up poor Johnny to be the fall guy. This film is quite an achievement, because it attempts to reproduce aform from 40 - 50 years ago, without any adjustment. Overall, the film had a bit of everything, romance, comedy and mystery and really made for a good watch. All that happened is that in the end of this socalled movie, we all ask ourselves only one question: WHY IS THIS MOVIEMADE. Would it have been too difficult to remove the crane utilising CGI. The set pieces in the film will probably distract you from the actual film itself. It started as a puzzle and was solved at the end by mere revelation. And 40 minuets of watching it is actually being very generous with mytime. Instead, there are minutes ofAngelina driving boats and a Paul Bettany who doesn't actually has areal part. Do not expect too much from this movie, and if you do so you might just end up enjoying this film for its star power, but be warned the plot and screenplay are very week. Lastly, the storyline. He did more acting in the two minute trailer I saw for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides last week. Unfortunately, I found the movie to be a bit on the boring side. The ending is basically on par with Pam finding Bobby in the shower at the end of Season 8 of "Dallas" and just as convincing. It shows you how a beautiful woman can get people to do what ever she wants for her as if they are hypnotized, and they would even feel earned from the hole thing. What an absolute bore. Unfortunately, the screenplay doesn't allow them enough scenes or moments together to establish a believable relationship.

Lots of great well set up scenes and fantastic cinematography, The ending was horrible. The only good thing this movie had going for it are the scenic views of Venice and the high budget couture wardrobe that Jolie got to wear. It would be difficult for the most devoted fans to find any praise for him. Mrs Jolie , in spite of all her lips is very clearly not the quality of actress of Sophie Marceau Clearly a copy-cat ( not a real "remake", worse than the first one) of "Anthony Zimmer" (2005) This redo has not even the decency to mention the scenario writer and Director, Mr Jérôme Salle.
