Like I said cute movie worth taking the kids to see.

As soon as I heard of this film, Hop HD was on my list on 'What I Want To See' because I like rabbits, Russell Brand & James Marsden. There are also an array of pointless scenes. This will go down like the polar express it will be a modern classic that children and adults will enjoy for years to come, especially around easter. We went with our 5 yr old and I don't know who laughed more. They truly enjoy the movie and it was nice to see a good family movie for young children. I guess I had some low expectations, reading some reviews like 'It could've been worse' and 'Not the worst movie I ever saw'. My husband I took our two children, ages 5 and 2 1/2, along with our 15 year old nephew and we ALL loved it. First of all, let me explain that this movie is not terrible or brilliant. I think its a must see.

B consistently does not do what he is asked or told and each time he puts himself or others in trouble or danger. I will never understand the "Professional Critics", whenever there is an awesome movie out, they slam it. Just an excellent family movie for all ages. Basically, skip this. How can anyone casting this movie think that James Marsden would be good as the jobless/slacker son and future Easter Bunny. Copycat of Christmas images like Santa Claus with the Easter Bunny was another sign of a weak story concept. In fact my grandaughter went around my yard checking out spots where the Easter Bunny may put eggs. I can't wait to see it again. It was entertaining while I was watching it because russel brandt has some great comedic features that fit well in bunny form but overall I dont look back on it as a very good movie. There were some points in the movie that were more adult, and younger kids would not understand, but it was still enjoyable. While I, too, enjoyed it. I would recommend save money and use redbox later. Apart from that, Hop is a fun family film, and I would definitely recommend this a lot. I took my granddaughter who has severe ADHD and she loved it and sat thru the whole thing. I personally would have liked Hop to have been longer by about three or four minutes, that way some of the human characters could have been developed a little more. I will definitely buy the DVD when it is available as well. Although it was a cute movie, I am more into movies with story lines such as Alpha and Omega or Despicable Me. It was so cute and funny. There are moments where the acting and plot are solely for children, but there are also some jokes thrown in there that only adults would get. But like I said that my fault for not double checking. One was when Russell Brand opened the door. They did a good job, it was only 90 mins, funny for the kids and funny enough to make the adults enjoy sittig through it. I read some reviews earlier and didn't think I was going to see this movie, and then when my little bro (10 yrs old) wanted to see Hop ipod instead of Rango, I thought, Oh boy, here we go, another waiste of $20+ and 2 hours. I loved EB playing the drums, the chick villian and James Marsden was excellent too. I didn't have high expectations going into this but I gotta say this was a really terrific little flick.
