This is NOT one of those films. Download IMAX: Hubble 3D film score. Makes me wonder why it was shown on imax at all or why they even really needed much of a narrator. Understandably, the excitement and awe in his voice simply cannot be contained. Watch IMAX: Hubble 3D full movie high quality? As the telescope zooms through galaxies we see stars fly into the audience and past us as we reach deeper into space. With something as amazing as the hubble i figured they would have shown so much more imagery & so much more on the scientific scale versus nasa spacemen training, blasting off into space, & messing around with the camera & the fittings. 3/4+ of the film was about the astronauts & their handiwork in fixing a telescope. You will also see some spectacular imagery Hubble was able to capture and some explanation of it. Watch IMAX: Hubble 3D online good quality

A friend who attended the special preview at Shaw Lido IMAX had mentioned that Hubble 3D was one of the trailers shown as an up and coming feature, but I remain a skeptic because I can't imagine a commercial cinema operator wanting to showcase a 40 minute documentary, when it probably can make a lot more showing the latest blockbusters in the format. At first I thought Leonardo DiCaprio was over-selling it, but about 45 seconds after we plunged into outer space I realized that he couldn't help himself. Disappointed with the whole thing. Unless that sounds okay or appealing to you & you'd like to see a bunch of astronauts doing their thing, i'd skip it. There are a couple of boring bits (e. This film chronicles the final servicing mission undertaken by the crew of Space Shuttle Atlantis in May 2009, and in fact is quite lightweight in treatment and narrative. My only genuine gripe is that I was greedy for more of the deep space stuff and it's too short but there's nothing stopping me from seeing it twice. I will be glad to stand corrected, but it remains to be seen. Practically 1/2 of an astronaut's job is fixing things in space when they go down, nothing new. The movie constantly errs on more emotional side, especially in presenting the astronauts. THE BIGGEST waste of money as a far as a movie/documentary goes that i have seen in a long time. 3D is everything in this presentation. THIS MOVIE WAS INCREDIBLE. My only genuine gripe is that I was greedy for more of the deep space stuff and it's too short, but there's nothing stopping me from seeing it twice. Only the 3D experience makes it possible to wrap our brains around at least a small degree of understanding of how big our universe is, and the infinite galaxies which seem exist, let alone the billions and billions of stars(to quote the late Carl Sagen). The latest attraction at the Science Centre Omni Theatre, Hubble is presented sans the 3D version since the venue can only project 2D IMAX films. So more space programmes were launched to have its telescopic sight fixed through the application of contact lens equivalents, and since then we've been treated to some of the most astounding pictures captured of our galaxy and beyond. What the movie does offer is spectacular imagery of shuttle launches, Hubble itself, and it's "repair" and some light perusal into the astronauts lives in the orbit.

An absolute must-see. First of: I saw this movie in Imax but not in 3D. There isn't much of a background on what and how Hubble was designed and conceived - you're left to your own devices to get chummy with the telescope. But,in 3D you are put seemingly inches away from an astronaut who is prepped for the coming mission, and right there as astronauts try to install new equipment into tight-fitting spots on the telescope. With infra-red lenses too we get to see past space clouds that mask hidden gems beneath, and truly that's something that made this documentary stand out a little. Some of the narration is also a bit too disingenuous - the crews going up the orbit are presented as some sort of breakthrough heroes doing something that had never been done before them - going into space. My friends and I walked out of IMAX on such a high that it was though we'd been the ones slaving away in orbit above the Earth, handling inexplicably razor-sharp circuits with our laughably fragile gloves, attached to our shuttle by what looks like a single strand of black wool. At first I thought Leonardo DiCaprio was over-selling it but about 45 seconds after we plunged into outer space I realized that he couldn't help himself, the excitement and awe in his voice simply cannot be contained. There are a couple of boring bits, like shots of a wife strolling down the beach, musing how she misses hubby up in space, which were probably included only so your head doesn't explode with astonishment and stain the seats. The list of things that could go wrong at any second could take up a dozen movies but these men and women have nerves of steel. Where can i download IMAX: Hubble 3D online. If you are interested in understanding how Hubble operates, it's engineering, day-to-day duties of the astronauts or any kind of coherent study of how stars are born and die then this movie will disappoint you. He should get some sort of special narration Oscar because it must have been hard to talk with his jaw hanging down to his knees.

Some beautiful images & info initially & ending, but for the majority, i was bored & my money wasted. The Hubble Space Telescope was launched into orbit some 21 years ago to much fanfare, and even more fuss made over it when it was discovered it had myopia (OK, in case you really think I meant that, it had faulty mirrors).

But, to me, the real worth of this film is seeing the expanse of the universe in 3D and seeing the incredible beauty of what is out there. I guarantee that most, after having seen this wonderful film in 3D will admit that they previously had no real concept of the vastness of space, and the endless billions of galactic bodies. I watched this movie "on demand" & was fine with idea of seeing it w/o the imax presentation, however the charge for renting it through your cable provider is still not cheap if you want it on high-def. The bulk of the documentary focuses on the crew of the Atlantis and their mission at hand, from ground training at NASA, to the blast off from the launchpad, with quick glimpses of their life aboard the shuttle, before a rather detailed look at their space walk and repair at hand, with the narration, by Leonardo DiCaprio, focused on the danger of having their suits ripped by sharp, pointy objects as part of their work. I fast-forwarded through a third of it. I know enough about the hubble telescope to know the images it takes & was hoping to see more background behind that & i was led to believe so through the film description (as well as some about the astronauts & their mission). Before, I knew that being an astronaut was a dangerous job but now I understand that it's more than that: it's the most dangerous job any person has ever done, ever, in the history of humanity. Movie IMAX: Hubble 3D. I could see that on any old program on the science channel or look it up myself. The movie is fascinating when it comes to explaining the difficulties in having to repair and upgrade a technological marvel. Still, I would have preferred if it had a more holistic approach to Hubble, but for what it is, presented on an IMAX format, it's still quite something to behold. I rate this 8 out of 10, subtracting 2 stars (no pun intended) because the film left me craving for more scientific explanation about the amazing details of the spacial orbs and expanses we see visually. You cannot possibly experience this without the 3D. IMAX: Hubble 3D full movie stream. Most of the 3D movies coming out these days are simply exploits by the film companies to cash in on the present 3D craze. The other focus of Hubble the film is on the images captured by it, which gives space and astronomy idiots like myself a quick and slight introduction to stars, systems, nebulas and the peek inside those astonishing vastness of space invisible to the naked eye. If you are not able to see it in IMAX 3D I wouldn't bother.
