Rural town begs for water

QUEENSLAND - A remote northwest Queensland community has made an urgent plea for reliable power and water.

Urandangi is 260km southwest of Mount Isa and has a population of about 60, which fluctuates with the movement of people across the nearby Northern Territory border.

The town’s average summer maximum temperature is 38C but there is no electricity and although bore water is available, there are few other services.
