Zara is a reporting intern at Circle of Blue. She is a Davis Scholar in her third year at New York University London, majoring in Global Liberal Studies with a concentration in Politics, Rights, and Development.
Fraser is a reporting intern at Circle of Blue. Originally from Salt Spring Island, Canada, he is now a Davis Scholar pursuing dual degrees with UC Berkeley and Sciences Po Paris. Fraser is majoring in Environmental Economics and Policy, and Politics and Government – Specializing in the MENA region.
Vladislava Sukhanovskaya has two degrees in journalism. She covered health and environmental topics for Capital News Service, the Great Lakes Echo, and Circle of Blue. Vladislava was an editor for the Sober One media which helps people with addictions to recover. She is also the founder and producer of a podcast about evidence-based medicine, well-being, and sex "Nauka v Ladoshke".
Rachel joined the Circle of Blue team in 2022 as a Communications Associate. She also works as a contributor for Great Lakes Now, one of Circle of Blue's partners in the Great Lakes News Collaborative. She studied broadcast journalism at the Michigan State University School of Journalism, where she interned for WKAR Public Media and worked as a copy-editor for the Spartan Medical Research Journal. In her free time, she enjoys watching scary movies, listening to podcasts, hiking, cooking and hanging out with her cat.
