The Central Arizona Project pulls water from the Colorado River and delivers it to Arizona’s high-growth Sun Corridor. The Central Arizona Groundwater Replenishment District uses water from the canal to offset unsustainable groundwater pumping. The district is now looking at alternative sources, including a partnership with an irrigation district in the state’s southwest.
