Project engages students in water crisis one DROP at a time

This November almost one-hundred creative student thinkers, designers and entrepreneurs plan to gather in New York City for the launch of DROP, a campaign to raise cross-generational awareness of the impending water crisis.

A project of social networking site YouthNoise, DROP aims to bring fresh voices into the conversation about water. “The Goal of DROP is to amplify the voices of young people in raising awareness of our water crisis, build a strong coalition based movement, and find unique and innovative solutions to fixing it.”

DROP — working with the Communications, Design and Technology Department at Parsons, The New School for Design and partnered with organizations such as Food & Water Watch, UNICEF and H2O Conserve — involves 75 interns for up to twelve months to explore how social change can address and alleviate the water crisis.
