STOCKHOLM – This year’s World Water Week convened a panel of communications and water experts from ITT and SustainAbility to discuss solutions to the global water challenge. During the panel, ITT — a high-technology, engineering and manufacturing firm — discussed its recently announced philanthropy project.

Called ITT Watermark, the project responds to the need for improved access to water and sanitation worldwide. ITT, in partnership with Water for People, is making a “three-year, $3 million commitment to help provide safe water, sanitation and hygiene education to 300 schools in the developing world.”

Moderated by Circle of Blue’s senior editor Keith Schneider, the panel discusses current challenges facing water-stressed communities, possible solutions to the growing crisis, and the need for appropriate technologies that can be used to alleviate water shortages.
